My best friend

On this person I can always depend
For you see, He is my very best friend

I've known him for a long while
Just the thought of him makes me smile

Several times a day a message to him i send
For you see, He is my very best friend

He isn't popular but I don't care
Just the mention of his name makes most people snare

It matters not to me their style or trend
For you see, He is my very best friend

Many times I've ignored his advice and disregarded his alarms
I always fall flat on my face and he's always there with wide open arms

Though i may stray from him, his love for me would never bend
For you see, He is my very best friend

He says he loves me so much and he would never lie
I know for a fact that for me he would even die

For me, his two hands and his feet he would lend
For you see, He is my very best friend

In my darkest hours, he wipes away my tears
When i'm afraid, he takes away my fears

In every storm of life, he settles the wind
For you see, He is my very best friend

I cannot survive without him, we cannot be apart
He gave his life for me, so I'll give him my heart

He's loved me since the beginning and He'll love me to the end
For you see, He will always be my very best friend.

Psalm 42

As the deer pants for streams of water, 
so my soul pants for you, O God. 
2 My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. 
When can I go and meet with God?

"Where is your God?"

Romans 7:14-25
We know that the law is spiritual; but I am unspiritual, sold as a slave to sin. I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do. And if I do what I do not want to do, I agree that the law is good. As it is, it is no longer I myself who do it, but it is sin living in me. I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my sinful nature.For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the evil I do not want to do--this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do, it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it. 
So I find this law at work: When I want to do good, evil is right there with me. For in my inner being I delight in God's law; but I see another law at work in the members of my body, waging war against the law of my mind and making me a prisoner of the law of sin at work within my members. What a wretched man I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death? Thanks be to God--through Jesus Christ our Lord! 
So then, I myself in my mind am a slave to God's law, but in the sinful nature a slave to the law of sin.

Psalm 139:1-19

O LORD , you have searched me 
and you know me. 
You know when I sit and when I rise; 
you perceive my thoughts from afar. 
You discern my going out and my lying down; 
you are familiar with all my ways. 
Before a word is on my tongue 
you know it completely, O LORD .

You hem me in-behind and before;

How long, O LORD ? Will you forget me forever?
